The Mascalzone Latino Sailing School was founded in 2007 by an idea of Vincenzo Onorato, creator of Mascalzone Latino, one of the most renowned Italian sailing teams in the world thanks to its six world titles and two participations in America’s Cup campaigns.

The skills and the passion of the group, gained after years of sport and sea life, led Vincenzo Onorato to create in Naples this reality dedicated to young people aged 6 and above who live in a strong social and economic discomfort.

The aim of the Sailing School is to offer them a chance to redeem themselves through the sport of sailing and its values such as loyalty, strength and courage. It is also a strong hope that the activities carried out at the Vela School can also be useful to introduce, in the future, young people in a professional career linked to the sea and beyond.
