The Mascalzone Latino Sailing School delegation in Sapri included five very young sailors on their racing debut: they had a few problems but all finished the races.
The neophytes on the smallest dinghy for schoolkids finished all the races and cadet Gabriel De Luca did pretty well to finish in 14th place.
Among the juniors, there was a bit of disappointment for Salvatore Falcone who ended up at the bottom of the rankings: it’s a result that shows he tends to give up and can’t yet find the motivation to make a comeback. The equally young Ilaria Esposito did a little better, just ahead of him in the rankings after six races. The best placed in this category was again 14th: it was Davide Esposito who, after a good seventh place in the first race, couldn’t handle the pressure and did progressively worse.
The next date will be July 22 and 23rd for the Italian Championships selections in Crotone.
